Sumiko Tan

im sitting in a comfy chair and eating my sunday lunch. Im relaxed whilst i tuck in a nice bit of homemade laksa... the newspapers are spread before me and i've just read the sunday comic section.

This idyllic picture is vaporised when i read about homeschooling. Don't get me wrong, im fine with the idea of homeschooling or schooling or what you have it about schooling to begin with - however i do have a thing about shameless self exhibition and inane thoughts on the national newspaper. please some standards?

now i haven't read the papers in a while what with exams, holidays and the trip to vietnam for the last month or so... but it appears constants never change (almost.) so yes, shes stopped writing about her pet dog (his birth death and food), her imaginary boyfriend (his presence, her dumping, her learning to live without) or just plain whining about how life sucks (which seems particularly popular).

big deal.

its morphed into her vaguely more introspective but equally annoying apologies over her secondary school education (oh "a drab small convent school" *faux tears*)and her inbuilt bias against the lesser schools in Singapore.

i have one word for sumiko tan: Stop.
for the love of god, STOP.

we have better things to cover.
