Salmon Sashimi Salad at the Esplanade.
Oh this is nearly as good as what i got in Japan... at 14 bucks(?) its a pretty decent meal.

tigers making -more- tigers
It seemed like the male tiger wanted some but the female didn't. Still that didn't stop him from following her around for about half an hour while i watched and snapped away. he got lucky in the end. ah well. there were three tigers in the enclosure. 2 female 1 male. hmmm.

mr haubenrisser comes to visit.
there are friends - and then there are Friends. Holger has been quite a constant feature in my life - and for that i am thankful.
after not having him here for over 5 years - its good to know that nothing has changed and we both are: two small boys in two rather larger bodies. its not a bad thing at all.

My word yes. The 1927 Nobel prize for Medicine went to Julius Wagner-Jauregg who was awarded for: "his discovery of the therapeutic value of malaria inoculation in the treatment of dementia paralytica"
basically he infected patients who had developed general paresis of the insane (as a complication of syphilis) with malarial parasites.
1927 ethics. sweet.

As i hunker down for a good 2 week mug fest - i need to stock up on such staples as milk, cereal, chips, noodles, chocolate, icecream, ham and bacon. unhealthy days ahead!
